And to the surprise of no one it’s Katana. Years ago it probably would have come as a shock, but since her <em>Suicide Squad</em> appearance it seems inevitable that we’ll get a ton more merch of her. I wonder if we’ll get an alternate unmasked head, or if it will be a totally masked Bishoujo? Because that would be something we haven’t really seen before.</p>

    Kotobukiya Panel NYCC 2016: DC Bishoujo Katana

Including, of course, quite a few from their Bishoujo lines. We have the info for the next Marvel Bishoujo: Ms. Marvel! Yes, they did <a href="http://www.plastikitty.com/home/plastikitty-review-kotobukiyas-marvel-bishoujo-binary-ms-marvel" target="_blank">one of her before</a>, but this is a different character: the new Kamala Khan, who I am very excited for. She’s such a unique character in the Marvel universe, and I’m loving the brief silhouette they showed off. Between her, <a href="http://www.plastikitty.com/home/sdcc-2016-kotobukiyas-marvel-bishoujo-spider-gwen-gallery" target="_blank">Spider Gwen</a>, and <a href="http://www.plastikitty.com/home/nycc-2016-kotobukiyas-marvel-bishoujo-squirrel-girl" target="_blank">Squirrel Girl</a>, I’m really looking forward to the new direction their Marvel line is going in.</p>

So it should also be no surprise that Puddin’s lady love is joining the line! Harley’s popularity is at an all-time high thanks to <em>Suicide Squad</em>, so I’m sure we’re going to be seeing a ton of figures of her…. in that terrible outfit.</p> <p>Thankfully, this is classic Harley in her harlequin outfit! I’m not sure how I feel about the whole “holding up her butt with a hammer” thing because man, that seems uncomfortable. Just think of the splinters! But I just adore this outfit, so I’m really happy to be seeing more of it in any context.</p>

But not even that can stop us from going to NYCC!</p> <p>Kotobukiya had, of course, a lot of Bishoujo-related merchandise in their booth this year, but they star of the show is definitely their sculpt for Squirrel Girl. So while there are no surprises here, it’s still pretty amazing that they managed to pack so much stuff into this release. The faces alone are enough to sway me–because it’s a swap of eyes and not the whole head, we have a whopping 5 of them (regular, winking, hearts, coy, excited) and I’m assuming you can mix them up too. Then there’s his double swords and the pantsless (but heart-underpant wearing) legs. So many goodies!</p> <p>Nendoroid Deadpool retails for ¥4,800 and is set for a February release.     It’s Time To Party With Nendoroid Deadpool

    SDCC 2016: Kotobukiya’s DC Bishoujo Wonder Girl Gallery

    I have finally come to terms with the fact that Bishoujo Wonder Girl is not going to be Donna Troy. I’ve come to terms with it, and even though I really want sparkly space-pants in my life I’m moving on. It’s been a hard road, but here we are. With Cassie Sandsmark!

    I have to say, I was not at all won over by her initial promotional shots but I think Cassie looks miles better here. The face is much crisper and less childish, and the detailing on her pants & outfit look great. What do you guys think about Wonder Girl?

    As a companion line to Kotobukiya’s New 52 ArtFX+, they announced a Villains Forever expansion a few years ago featuring, you guessed it, some of DC’s top villains. I was really expecting more heroes after the Justice League so it was a pleasant surprise, and the initial announcement had a pretty interesting mix of villains.

    Spider Gwen is one of Marvel’s most currently popular characters, so of course she’s taking the figure world by storm. Kotobukiya alone is doing both an ArtFX+ and a Bishoujo version of her! Of course my heart lies with the Bishoujo line so that’s what I am personally most excited for.

    Her unmasked version was out and about at SDCC, looking as cute as ever.
