Kotobukiya always has a lot of new announcements at the event, but this one is certainly unexpected. Evil Dead is joining the Horror Bishoujo line! That’s right, “Ashley” J. Williams will be in all her bloody, sexy glory. Amazing.

As a side note, I mistyped Ash as AHS while making the header and now I can’t stop thinking about American Horror Story Bishoujos. How fantastic and bloody would that be? Of course they’d go for some of the more, ah, feminine monsters, but I want a gender-swapped Twisty Horror Bishoujo.

[via Kotobukiya’s Facebook]

Take the shoes, for instance: they’re actually modeled exactly on the ones Uma wears in the film, and they had to be approved by Asics. Apparently it took a ton of attempts until they were absolutely perfect. One of those things you never really think about when looking at a figure, right? Maybe this is why most anime girls just wear generic loafers or heels…

There are just SO MANY tv shows and movies (and novels now too apparently) based on the DC and Marvel worlds. I’ve experienced overload and now it’s hard to work up the energy to care about them. But there is one big, sparkling exception to that: Guardians of the Galaxy. Do you know how excited I am for Vol 2? VERY EXCITED.

So of course I was hella pumped at the reveal of a Star-Lord ArtFX statue at Toy Fair. Especially because he’s perfect. They absolutely nailed the face, and the detail on the outfit is astounding. And he’s a generous 1/6 scale, so definitely a centerpiece kind of figure. Plus BABY GROOT. It just couldn’t get any better. Unless, of course, they made matching statues of the rest of the cast…
