Today is the DD Gathering 2012, and honesty I didn’t expect much to be there except for the new standard model Dollfies. Well, I was wrong! It seems like Asuna, the popular heroine from Sword Art Online, is getting a Dollfie Dream. Based on many many people at the event, they have Asuna there, but photography is prohibited. While I’m excited to see what she looks like, my heart currently belongs to KOS-MOS… who we also don’t have photos of. Get up to date on your DDs, Volks!
[UPDATE] As suspected, Asuna is 100% confirmed and we have a shot of… the announcement card! Thrilling.

Seeing as Volks still hasn’t resolved the “Great Base-Body Drought” quite yet, I’m not surprised there’s no “real” news for either kos-Mos or SAO… Although either one would be a welcome addition, after reading results on the DD forums and other “.fm” sites….
Here’s to Volks finally realizing what future “parents” are looking for, and capitolizing on it……
Someone also seems to have taken a picture of her possibly wrongfully, but it’s up on MFC. From what I can see her face doesn’t look very much like Asuna, but I’ll wait for better pictures before casting judgement.
Yeah, the picture really isn’t wowing me. I pictured Asuna as an 04-type (not that I like the 04 haha) and from that shot it seems more like the 06… but since it was taken against Volks’ wishes, we’re not going to be putting it up on the site.
Yes, even an 04 type would be closer. Now hurry up Volks and show us some official pictures.
She’s slated for 2013, so I think official shots might be a while off. I surmise we’ll see KOS-MOS/MOMO and of course Aoko before her.
There’s also a theory that the head may be a placeholder head as the wig isn’t finalized at all in that shot. Either way, it all depends on her final face sculpt as to whether I’ll bite or not.
Same here. I almost kind of hope she doesn’t because god knows where I’m going to come up with the money.
