Sakai Wakana from Tari Tari was one of the many Nendoroids announced at Summer WonFest, and I really didn’t pay much attention to her at the time since her unpainted sculpt was a bit dull and her color palette didn’t seem thrilling. Well, the same things are kind of true now: there’s not a whole lot of detail in her outfit, and the pale brown/blue theme isn’t exactly unique. However, there’s a trend at Good Smile recently where otherwise boring Nendoroids are fluffed up with some great accessories, and man oh man does Sakai come with some amazing stuff.
Let’s start with the faces: there’s happy, and smiling. So far, not much. There’s also a schoolbag, a cute but not entirely surprising accessory. But wait, there’s more! There’s a PIANO! An entire Nendoroid-sized piano, complete with a bench for her to sit on (and of course sitting parts). That means any Nendoroid you can make sit can now play the piano. Oh and that’s not all, she comes with a cat. The cutest darn Nendoroid cat ever, named Dora, along with food & a serving spoon for her kitty friend. She’ll be up for order the 2nd of October, and I have a feeling this is going to be a very popular Nendo.
