As far as monster designs go, Chris Ryniak is probably my favorite illustrator–he creates such wonderfully creepy yet oddly adorable things! The Synbora, a collaboration between Ryniak, Rotofugi, and Squibbles Ink, is a perfect example of this: sure, it looks like a baby monster from a horror movie, but it’s also got a hint of undeniable cuteness. It’s those big eyes! They Snybora has gotten a few releases so far with the first being at SDCC. Now we’re getting a very natural-looking colorway, the Mud Puddle Synbora! This release has a great weathered look that makes it look carved from stone. Each piece will be $35 and you can snag one at Rotofugi this Friday the 27th at 11AM Central.
