Clayz used to be a prominent company, but recently their release numbers have been dipping lower and lower. In fact, we barely get a handful of figures from them a year! That might be because they’ve jacked up their prices but not the quality, but perhaps with this new line of girls from Smile Shooter that will change! They’ll be doing Yurina Usaki, Airi Suzuhira, and Mayu Akiyama. Is it just me, or does Mayu look like Mio Akiyama… with uhh a few letters of her name changed?
There’s no sculpts yet, just the concept art, but Airi’s character design is SO cute! I am a sucker for twintails. Each of these girls will retail for a very steep ¥9,000 and are only 1/8 scale, but they will be sculpted by the awesome Takeshi Miyagawa. However, the sculpt and finish better be absolutely flawless for that amount of money.
