Two of the three Hometown Dopa Sendai releases are Idolm@ster girls, and it’s no surprise that Volks went with some of the more popular idols. In fact, the first Idolma@ster Dollfie Dream Sister is also the same character (in the same outfit) that MegaHouse went with to kickstart their new line. I have to admit that I am not really sold on the face: granted, its pretty true to character, but for the most part I am not a fan of open-mouthed DD girls. Her eyes, though, are gorgeous! She’s also sporting the new Dollfie Dream Sister torso, which is seamless. It seems like that would limit poseability quite a bit, and indeed Haruka is just shown off here standing around. They’ve pulled off revealing outfits before without showing the seam (like Akira’s Kitty Magician ensemble) so I’m not entirely sure why this is a necessary upgrade: of course, I’ll reserve judgement until I actually get one to fiddle around with.

I love iDOLM@STER, but the main thing bugging me with this is Haruka’s hair. It just doesn’t seem to have the same life to it that figures and pictures get. Otherwise she does look fantastic, but I’ll never be able to buy her.
Volks’ stock wigs are never that nice, to be honest–the only doll I have in her stock wig is Lucy. It’d probably be easy to get a similar one and style it yourself if you ever do get her!
