In the past, E2 and Clayz have collaborated on a few exclusive figures like the infamous Tony Taka cat maids. Now they’re at it again, with a sukumizu maid designed by Tony Taka and sculpted by Takeshi Miyagawa. Like before, Miyagawa has ditched his signature eyes in order to make this maid fit in more with the illustration. I think the likeness is very good though the finish could definitely be improved: the colors look a little soft, and there’s not quite enough contrast. She’s also pricey, and comes with a ¥9,800 pricetag and a March release.
She’s an exclusive to AmiAmi and E2 will come with an illustration board if you pre-order her at AmiAmi! There will also be a black colorway in the future, which I have to admit I like a bit more. However, even though Tony Taka is one of my favorite illustrators and Miyagawa one of my favorite sculptors, I don’t know if I am willing to put down so much money for this figure.
