Touhou Project seems to get the best garage kits, with sculptors pouring tons of energy into making very intricate sculpts. The newest addition to the “oh god why can’t I own that” line is circle Glemo’s kit of Yuyuko Saigyouji. This is an absolutely jaw-dropping sculpt: there’s a skull in her water-themed base! The face is admittedly a bit odd, but quite unique: the crying expression makes it seem like she is somehow praying. This will be released at this Summer Wonder Festival where the kit will retail for ¥9,000 if you have the cash and skills to paint her!

This circle produces such great kits. Apart from being generally beautiful, this one references the game (Perfect Cherry Blossom) in several neat ways – the skull and tree base, the snowflakes printed on her clothes. The butterflies are lovely too – their almost-neon accents perk the whole figure up.
