Mawaru Penguindrum has certainly proved popular among figure manufacturers: or at least the main character’s alternate form has! For many collectors, the real wait has been for Good Smile Company’s scaled version of her. Now it seems fully done and painted, though honestly this shot is so blown out it’s hard to see all the details. She does look good though, except for her leotard area which is just kind of fake and odd-looking. Hopefully there’s more shading and muscle definition that we just can’t see here! I am also holding out that the penguins will be included her… honestly, this figure will feel incomplete without them!

Looking at other pictures and the prototype besides this pic, her leotard area really does look off-putting, and I wonder if they’re actually going to fix it before release. It’s so flat and unnatural. Kind of odd considering Sega’s prize does manage to nail it and she’s alot cheaper.
Kind of inclined to skip this one if they don’t fix it and go for the prize/ wait to see if Kotobukiya unveils their version on the Summer Wonfes or something.
