Back at Wonder Festival, Griffon showed off a batch of new Touhou Project figures. It seems like the first to be painted is Hatate Himekaidou, who was already sculpted at the event. She has one of the simpler designs in the line but they’ve done a nice job of giving her motion and personality, and she looks more active than most of Griffon’s figures in the line! She should be going up for order soon.
She was also shown with Momiji and Aya: we already know that Momiji is going up for re-release, and this seems to hint that Aya will be next! Since Griffon seems to be redoing a lot of older characters recently I really wish they’d take a crack at Aya, as this figure doesn’t really do her justice. Then again, the Koto version of her is pretty much flawless if you want a more dynamic figure of the demon photographer!
