Racing Miku is probably one of the most successful versions of the virtual diva, getting four separate incarnations, each with figure releases! The first in 2009 only got a Nendoroid, but 2010 got a 1/8 scale figure as well and both 2011 and 2012 are getting the GSC triple treat: figma, Nendoroid, and scaled figure! While many of these have yet to be released (we don’t even have the 2011 scaled one yet!), what about people who missed out on the earlier versions of Racing Miku? Well, too bad if you’re missing 2009, but for those who want 2010 & 2011 you’re in luck as both Nendoroids are getting re-released!
Of course it’s not all sunshine and daisies: both are exclusives, but so far they have only been announced for NicoNico, not the GSC store… but they could pull a Tenshi on us. 2010 will NOT come with her racecar, while 2011 comes with the same stuff as the original plus a bonus clear trophy. Why we’d only get the car for one I don’t understand, but oh well! Personally, I like the Nendoroid for the 2012 version the best… I mean come on, she’s a space princess! I did buy both 2010 & 2011 at proxies and I do think they’re worthwhile if you’re a true Miku fan. They both come with a lot and are so adorable! I wonder if the scaled 2010 version (review) will get a re-release as well…
[UPDATE] Racing Miku 2011 figma is getting a re-release as well! I kind of wish they had announced a 2010 figma to go with her, sigh. I just love those buck teeth! If you do get her, be careful with the darn umbrella, it’s very fragile!
[UPDATE #2] Looks like these will be available internationally on the GSC site, thanks Mamitan! They’ll be up for order until October 9th.
