Well, we knew this was coming because of Mikatan’s preview last week, but here she is in all her glory–Homura Akemi from Madoka! She’s the second in this 1/8 scale line, following their spectacular figure of the titular character. To be honest, I thought Madoka was glorious but the unpainted girls shown off at Wonder Festival looked… plain. Thankfully this is not the case with the painted Homu Homu, as they’ve added tons of gorgeous details! She’s also got some nice exchangeable parts–where the standard display has her kind of touching her soul gem, she comes with a gun and shield as well for the full armory effect!
This is a simple but layered figure, with so many small aspects that make the sculpt stand out. She really fits in to the simpler theme Good Smile Company is going for, and seeing Homura makes me really excited for Sayaka and Mami. No Kyouko has been announced yet, but Sayaka just wouldn’t feel complete without her so let’s hope that they decide to make one. Homura is going up for order tomorrow, so get your wallets ready for this feisty cutie!
