Back in March, we got two new Bishoujo announcements: Lady Deadpool to the Marvel line and Huntress to the DC line. Huntress (Bertinelli, not Wayne) is my all-time favorite comic character, so of course I was thrilled at the announcement and rough art! I think they’ve chosen a great pose for her, like a more dynamic version of Batgirl (review). Plus, her gargoyle is a griffon! How cool is that! The face is also stunning, and I am praying that the sculpt does full justice to Shunya’s amazing interpretation of the character.

I love everything about it….but that belly window. I can never get past the belly window on Huntress. It’s just so…dumb…I love everything else about it but I was hoping to god they got rid of the belly window after I saw the rough art.
On the plus side, it means that this is DEFINITELY Bertinelli and not Wayne. No stupid bait and switch like a certain miniseries that will go unnamed. >.<
that ruined for me what was a really good series…especially the way they ended going…oh yeah she wuz deds and I stolded her identity…
But seriously this does look awesome and I like it more the more I look at it. I dunno. I just think the face captures Helena pretty well and the arm covers enough of the book window to satisfy me. I’m kind of hoping there is a swappable arm with her crossbow though. Here is le hoping for something like that…..Or at least one strapped to her hip.
