Kotobukiya’s Motoko Kusanagi Is Painted

Well, that was fast! We just saw the sculpt for Kotobukiya’s Motoko from Ghost in the Shell at Wonder Festival, and she’s already painted. I know Kotobukiya is fast, but usually not this fast. Then again, her initial announcement was back in July, so all together it took about 7 months to see her all finished up.

While I’m still not a huge fan of the outfit (I love her full suit!), I’m impressed with the final product. Her face looks great and very anime-accurate, the base is so elaborate and cool, and I like how the pose says both “yeah, I’m hot and I know it” and “don’t talk to me.” Pointing a gun at people will give you that kind of vibe for sure.
