I was really surprised not to see any Hyouka figures at WonFest, but now we know why: Kyoto Animation is working on the characters themselves! First up is Eru Chitanda, and they’ve done a really lovely version of her. I love the hair and the outfit, along with the adorable pillow base. The face I’m not entirely sold on, but that’s probably more a commentary on the character design than the figure itself. She’s 1/6 scale, but we have no pricing or release info. Sadly, this will probably be an exclusive like the rest of KyoAni’s figures. However, they tend to skyrocket in price after release so they are worth going for despite the proxy fees!

Considering how heavily the show emphasizes Chitanda’s stunning eyes, I’m not a huge fan of this figure.
I don’t like her either, her face is all wrong.
Let’s hope there’ll be more of her from other companies.
Her eyes look dead.
