The Cheerful Japan line has been slowly but steadily rolling on with new releases each month, even though most of them are simple rehashes with a few added parts. As much as people really want some new content, most of it has been like Luka here–the original Nendoroid/figma with one or two added things. Actually, most of them have come with quite a few added things, but unfortunately Luka’s offerings are pretty sparse.
She comes with a hair-up part, pink pompoms (that are the same exact sculpt as Miku’s), a tambourine, and a little visor for Tako Luka. None of it is very innovative, and she doesn’t even come with a cheering outfit unlike Kaito, Rin & Saber, or Makise & Mayuri. Only a few have come with the bare minimals that Luka does–in fact, Miku came with a new face and Rin & Len had tons of accessories. If you already have Luka it’s kind of hard to justify ordering this new one, especially with the pricetag of ¥3,500 (with ¥2,000 shipping). Orders run at the Cheerful Japan webstore until January 30th and she comes out in May.

The new hair is cute, but if I’m going to buy a Luka I’m just going to wait for the Tony Taka Luka.
