Well guys, it’s magazine scan time! Like always we got a nice mix of things–new unpainted prototypes, some shiny coats of paint on long-awaited figures, and a sneak peak at the expressions and accessories for the newest poseable goodies. This week we got a lot of Shining Hearts, the usual dose of Queen’s Blade and Hyakka Ryouran, a surprise OreImo-related announcement, sexy boys, and more. Hit the jump to check it all out!
Rufina | Kotobukiya | 1/8
Rufina looks even prettier with a coat of paint, and she may be the best of Koto’s Shining Hearts girls so far! She’s the princess of tea, which is pretty badass, and that pose combined with the gorgeous color palette and her delicate wings make for a stunning figure.
Xiao-Mei | Kotobukiya | 1/6
Finally, a Koto Xiao-Mei! I don’t know why she is 1/6 when the rest of the line is 1/8, but I am not going to complain–bigger is better in my book! Hopefully she’ll be the large 1/6 Koto is so fond of, like their Tamakis who are closer to 1/5. I want a big Xiao-Mei!
Miku Hatsune | 3D-GAN | 1/7 | ¥15, 750
This is a damn expensive Miku, but I don’t think the sculpting is really worth $200. The face seems lacking, and while I love the concept it just falls a little flat.
Gertrude Barkhorn | Alter | 1/8
Alter’s Strike Witches line is great, and while Gertrude seems a bit more… risque than some of the other girls I love her action pose. I still regret missing out on the first two in the line, so I am praying that the rapid rate the new girls are getting added might mean some re-releases down the line.
Kuroneko | Max Factory
Well this came out of left field, but oh my DO WANT! She’s in her “Holy Angel Kamineko” outfit here, like the figma, and she looks spectacular. I assume that the scale is 1/7, since that seems to be Max Factory’s scale of choice.
Annelote 1P & 2P | MegaHouse | 1/8 | ¥7,980 | March | Limited & Exclusive
I really love this Annelote, especially the 2P version of her… but Hobby Japan exclusives end up being expensive. Hopefully US stores stock them! I think she might be like Siggy, where the 1P is really hard to get, but the 2P (which I tend to like better) shows up for pretty reasonable prices.
Senhime | AmiAmi Zero | 1/8
It seems like AmiAmi is continuing their line! So far we’ve seen Sanada, Yagyu, Naoe, and Hattori in varying scales, and it seems like Sen will match Yagyu perfectly–same scale, both in swimsuits!
Kyoko Sakura | Max Factory | figma
Not only does she come with food and a flexible spear, which everyone was hoping for, but also…. ANOTHER KYUUBEY! This is going to be one awesome figma, and it totally makes up for Sayaka’s lack of accessories.
Drossel | Max Factory | figma | ¥4,800 | March
Right when I was bemoaning Bandai’s expensive Drossel comes an even better and cheaper one from Max Factory! Drossel looks fantastic here, and I love all the extra head pieces she comes with.
Menma | Good Smile Company | Nendoroid | February
We’ve seen Menma many times before, but now we have an official release date! It seems like people are quite excited for this Nendoroid, so it’s great news that she will be going up for order so soon.
Reimu, Nanoha & Makise | Good Smile Company | Nendoroid Petit Plus | Exclusive
These are 3 of the petit pluses that come with the Nendoroid Generation game, so it’s great to finally see them sculpted! 5 left to go…
Koyo Satomura | Good Smile Company | Nendoroid Petit | ¥11,300
As awesome as this design is, I avoid games bundled with ONE petit… that makes her about $150! She’s cool, but not that cool. Honestly, if she was full-sized I’d go for it, but considering that some of the rarest Nendoroids don’t even fetch this much, it’s an easy pass.
Shyoshyo & Alteris | Good Smile Company | Nendoroid Petit | ¥9429 | March
This is a MUCH more reasonable bundle, plus they come with alternate expressions and a cute bunny. Very tempting! Of course, I like the games I get to at least be playable, so hopefully it’s not something atrocious.
Miku Hatsune HSP Ver. | Max Factory | 1/7 | March
I really love this Miku, she might be the cutest one yet (yes, cuter than LAT-Miku!). The octopus is so cute, and the face and pose are real winners for me. Plus, clear hair–let’s just hope this doesn’t turn into another case of “Jello Miku.”
Himari Takakura | Wave | 1/10
She’s cute, but there’s supposed to be a fancy version of her in her “magical girl” getup that I am holding out for.
Hajime Saitou | MegaHouse | 1/8 | ¥7,140 | January
Oh my, he looks gorgeous painted! But I know a lot of people who will be unhappy with the release date. I mean, really, January? Let’s hope they change their mind before he goes up for order.
Makoto Shishio | MegaHouse | 1/8
I am kind of shocked that MegaHouse is continuing this Ruroni Kenshin line, usually they stop with one or two boys from a series if it’s not One Piece. Makoto looks like the best of the bunch, so I am not going to complain!

Oh man, Kyoko figma is looking awesome! Delighted she comes with Kyubey – wasn’t expecting that.
Once again, Menma Nendoroid is just too adorable, can’t wait to get her. Wonder what accessories she comes with?
I really like the look of Kuroneko and Xiao Mei is pretty cute too. Definitely going to have consider getting HSP ver. Miku!
WAVE’s Himari isn’t anything too exciting – she’s a very plain character but her Crystal Princess outfit is stunning so I’ll be waiting for something of that too!

So many great figures! Koto’s Rufina is very interesting, but I’m careful with Koto. Some of their figures turns out awesome and some of them looks like a bootleg. (just remember to poor Hayane Fubuki released this month).
I think I’m gonna get MF Kuroneko! I waited ages for a perfect figure of her. The first Koto figure of her was OK, the second one was nice, but there was something bothering me. But this MF one is just pure amazing! I love that they choose this outfit. And I really hope she will be 1/7, that’s my favorite scale. She looks very promising.
And nendoroid Menma is so cuteeeee! Her accessories are already on tsuki board http://myfigurecollection.net/image/SaRu1319197000.jpeg , I like the things she comes with. If I will have enough money I will get these figures in the future.
I am so excited for the Rurouni Kenshin figures. I almost screamed when I saw the Shishio promos. I’m so so glad they’re continuing this line!
