At Wonder Festival, Max Factory had one announcement that snuck totally under the radar: they too were working on a figure of Kuroyukihime from Accel World. Their take, though, is very different from previous ones since she’s not in her butterfly outfit or her school outfit. In fact… she’s naked! It’s actually a joint figure of Kuroyukihime and Black Lotus, though it’s kind of only half of them. I’m not really a fan of busts which this really feels like–I wish they’d had her kneeling or something instead, I don’t like cut-off legs. I was looking forward to this, but the sculpt leaves me wanting. At the moment, I vastly prefer Kotobukiya’s version.

I’m also not a fan of busts but I actually like this one… Especially since the ‘base’ looks like some water- or sandbase. She actually looks like she’s emerging or something which adds something extra to the bust.
I might consider this one… will have to see when she’s painted
^^^^ …..I have a feeling that this will look WICKED once painted, and a genuine alternative to the take most others are using…..which at the moment is probably best represented by the Koto version.
