I think the unanimous thought on the announcement of Nendoroid Spider-Man was “huh?” It seems like a very odd choice for the line, but the first glimpse of him we got painted looked good. Now we’re getting a full reveal and I think my thoughts still remain at “huh?” It’s a cool idea, but he’s been added to the “Super Moveable”/”Full Action” line (or as Mikatan calls it the “Edition Series”), so there are a ton of joints. And since his design is really sleek, they stand out a lot. Added to the chubby proportions and it seems very odd.
He doesn’t come with that much either, just the cool city diorama we saw previously and some webs. Then again, there’s not really a lot they can do with the character. This “Hero’s Edition” is based on the new movie look, and I think the suit does look good, though overall I am still not sold on this piece. He’ll be going up for order next week, and hopefully the promo shots show us a little more!
