The other day a surprised showed up for me when I got home from a lengthy day of classes; a mysterious regular sized Priority Mail flat rate box shipped from Brian Flynn that weighed, well, way more than what I had expected. I opened it up and lo and behold, it contained my last few recent orders as well as some long awaited figures that I had ordered, some as far back as last Spring! Well then, what all did I get from Super7? Hit the jump to find out and take a closer look at it all!
The first, and largest, piece in the box was the original first release Mummy Boy. I’ve been on the lookout for this figure for quite some time as I love the glow in the dark vinyl with red and blue accents as it’s just so classic, so when I saw that Brian Flynn was putting one up for sale, I immediately jumped on the opportunity. About a month later and here he is and I still can’t believe it; it’s always an amazing feeling when a figure you never thought you could own enters your collection and I think it still hasn’t sunk in yet either.
And here he is with his newest brethren that’s also in the same colorway and came in the same box, the Pocket Invisiboy! I find it fitting that this figure came in the same box as the first Mummy Boy release as this is the first time that that paint job has truly been replicated on another figure as the Pocket Mummy Boy and Pocket Mummy Gator in similar colorways do not have the blue on their heads. Either way, I love this little guy with his smoking jacket and cigar and he always brings a smile to my face.
Next up are the newest Power Mister, Big Sal, and Leeroy C. Power Mister was advertised as being lavender, and from the preview pictures, I was skeptical as he looked rather blue, but once I got him in person, I saw that he really is lavender! Big Sal looks great here in the clear red with reddish-pink accents and is yet another great colorway of an amazing figure. Last, but not least, Leeroy C is looking great in this gunmetal grey and copper/gold. The accents on the eyes and spikes and hands add a really nice metallic feel to the piece and I really love this little guy.
Finally are a double dose of sweets with some Fentons and Fosters! Leah loves Fenton quite a bit and way back around her birthday in April I thought I’d try to find some unpainted ones for her as a smaller present. Well, I was in luck and found this unpainted yellow and unpainted pink glow in the dark! Along with them are Foster in the new pink and glow in the dark colorway as well as the clear red colorway and I really adore him in any colorway; I mean he’s a cookie eating a cookie, who DOESN’T love that!?
Well, that’s all that came from Super7 in this latest box, but be sure to hit the gallery to check out more adorable pictures of all of these new additions hanging out and let us know in the comments about any grail figures you finally got unexpectedly.
