While Sakuno is technically our sixth Dollfie, she’s the last one of get an introduction! Even Aerie, who arrived a month after her, got her own post. I’ll chalk it up to Sakuno being shy, though you may remember a shot from this set popping up way back at our introductory post!
Sakuno was my graduation gift from Stephen, so she has a very special place in my collection, much like Mari. It feels a little biased to like the girls who were gifts more, but I can’t help it! Part of this is because her personality just jumped right out. One look and I could tell that she was very shy and timid, but had a secret wild streak buried underneath. And this is even before we got her out of the stock clothing!
Sakuno is also the first of our Dollfies to get a name change, as we tend to call her Sakura. It just flows a lot better than Sakuno, which sounds nice in Japanese but a little odd in English! She certainly won’t be the last, as our secret project should be arriving soon, but it makes her stand out a bit at the moment. So hit the jump and check out this cutie in action!

You guys are such bad influences. I really want to start collecting dolls now!
As expensive as they are, I think they’re well worth it as a figure-investment. You can never really get bored with one, since there’s practically infinite faceup/wig/eye/clothing/body combinations! Though the price is a little outrageous, even if you get a non-licensed doll.
