The week after Wonder Festival is almost as slow as the week before Wonder Festival! Well, we do have a lot more scaled figures this week (only scaled figures, to be exact!) but it’s about the same amount of items overall. We do have some real cuties this week, including the first WonFest pre-orders, a bunch of Beach Queens, and an unexpected surprise! There’s also quite a few laughably terrible entries this week, so hit the jump to get started!
A+
Cattleya | 1/2.5 | ¥35,800 | March | NSFW
Leah: The really WTF thing about this figure is not the giant boobs or the insane pose, it’s the scale. She is almost HALF THE SIZE OF A HUMAN.
Stephen: Buying this figure would be like having a baby on display in your house with boobs that’s posing like she’s in some bad amateur smut where whoever posed her has no clue of how to pose the human body to have it look good.
Chara-Ani
Erio Touwa | 1/8 | ¥7,600 | May
Leah: I love this Erio! She looks so cute, and the pose is really original and inventive.
Stephen: I really like the choice to have her laying down considering that’s what she does for a solid like 75% of the show and I also like that this is one two figures now of Erio to actually get her unique face correct.
Daiki Kougyou
Menace | 1/4 | ¥28,000 | June | NSFW
Tamaki Kousaka “Tsun” face | 1/6 | ¥13,000 | July
Leah: Ugh. Once again, Daiki kind of flops this week. Both are recolors: Menace does have a great body sculpt but she is just too far over the tacky line for me, and Tamaki… well, it’s awful, seamlines galore and a weird face.
Stephen: Daiki seems to be trying to become the new Taki corp lately with recolors of figures galore. The only thing I want here is that weird mace Menace has; why does it have cat ears and teeth? Who knows!
Good Smile Company
Yozora | 1/7 | ¥6,800 | July
Leah: This Yozora is a great representation of the character and also dirt cheap–a 1/7 scale GSC figure for 5k after discounts? Hell yes!
Stephen: Yozora looks really nice, is a large scale, and is quite cheap! All around great!
Sentinel
Menma | 1/7 | ¥7,600 | July
Leah: While this Menma is cute I am holding out for the Alter version.
Stephen: I really like this Menma, but I feel like all of the figures of her are way too similar and as such I only have need for Alter’s in my collection.
Wave
Sena | 1/10 | ¥3,800 | September
Laura Bodewig | 1/10 | ¥3,800 | September
Yuru Yuri Set & Akari | 1/10 | ¥7,600/¥3,800 | August
Set: AmiAmi | Hobby Search
Akari: AmiAmi | Hobby Search
Leah: A lot of releases from Wave this week! Laura is the standout for me: I love the pose, the sculpt, pretty much everything! And as a fan of Sena I really like their version of her. The Yuru Yuri set, though, I find a little disappointing–the pose and swimsuit just don’t stand out at all.
Stephen: Sena and Laura are both great; I love Laura’s shyness and her eye-patch really is something unusual on a swimsuit figure, but adds a ton of charm here. The Yuru Yuri set I find disappointing as well though; they could have at least swapped which eyes were winking or made some sort of slight tweaks in the sculpt so that you’re not just buying 3 of the same figure.
Well, that’s it for this week! We had a few re-colors and some new sculpts to give us a good number of scaled releases this week, and well… that’s about it! No poseable figures or nifty little trinkets either! Did you add any of these scaled ladies to your collection or are you waiting for other things from Wonder Festival instead?

If there is one character guaranteed to make me sick it would be Cattleya.
