Another week, another batch of pretty PVC ladies. And, of course, the obligatory boy as well! This week was pretty sparse in terms of numbers but it was chock-full of awesome releases. Almost every one (aside from a rather bland loli and a re-release we have) was a must-get for me and Stephen. So hit the jump to check them out!
Alter
Gisen Yagyu | 1/8 | ¥7,800 | November
Eila Ilmatar Juutilainen | 1/8 | ¥7,800 | October | Re-release
Leah: Gisen looks gorgeous and I’m glad we’re finally reaching the end of this line (since I’ve been waiting for Charles for 3 years!), but I am really disappointed that they chose Eila to re-release. She came out in March, and the Witches people really want again are Yoshika and Sanya.
Stephen: Gisen is really unique and awesome and I love the detail work on her, but when it comes to the Strike Witches where are my Yoshika and Sanya!?
Chara-Ani
Fear Cubrick | 1/8 | ¥6,800 | September | NSFW
Leah: Meh… she’s cute, but this figure doesn’t do anything for me.
Stephen: Cute and cheap, but quite awkward. I’m guessing she’ll sell out at this price though.
Good Smile Company
Teddie | Nendoroid | ¥4,000 | November
Leah: EEEEEE TEDDIE. There are no words to express my excitement.
Stephen: I ordered three of Teddie here and I’m still not sure if that’s enough or not.
Max Factory
Link | figma | ¥3,800 | October
Kuroyukihime | figma | ¥4,500 | November
Leah: I am quite disappointed in Link, who looks unfinished, but the fantastic job they did on Kuroyukihime almost makes up for it. If only every figma looked as good as her.
Stephen: I still have no clue why they went with the Skyward Sword design for Link, but I ordered him anyway. Kuroyukihime is flat out gorgeous for a figma though and as a result we ordered both!
Questioners
Birdcage Girl | 1/8 | ¥9,800 | October
Leah: This isn’t the most perfectly executed figure, and even in the proto her face looks off. But you know what? I don’t really care, because this is the most unique PVC piece I’ve seen in my years of collecting. She’s spectacular.
Stephen: Birdcage Girl is just so ridiculously unique and I cannot wait for her to arrive.
Wave
Saber Alter | 1/10 | ¥3,800 | November
Leah: So cute! Now there’s only Lily left… though I think this is definitely my favorite of the beach Sabers.
Stephen: I love the popsicle, it adds a lot of character and is really adorable.
Well, that’s it for this week! We actually had quite a few big male figures in Teddie and Link, one of the most detailed figmas ever in Kuroyukihime, and another stellar Hyakka girl from Alter. What all did you pick up and what all are you still on the fence with? Let us know in the comments below!

Birdcage Girl was pretty much an instant preorder. I’ve admired here since seeing her in someone’s WonFes coverage so a more accessible release is fantastic. Some people were gaga over Godoka. That was me seeing Birdcage Girl on amiami.
Raises my hopes that other beautiful and unusual GKs will get PVC releases.
