The week after Wonder Festival we really don’t see that many releases from companies. In fact, they’re usually so busy moving stuff back and resting up that this week would be a “dead week” with only a few figures going up for order. Well, we’re not exactly bursting at the seams with them, but we do have enough for a roundup! And some very nice ones at that, including (finally) another one of Alter’s Witches, Meat from Good Smile Company, and a really big bunny girl. So hit the jump to check them all out!
Alter
Erica Hartmann | 1/8 | ¥8,800 | December
Leah: It’s nice to finally see a new release in this line–the last, Gertrud, is already out and sitting on my shelf!
Stephen: I love Erica and her emotion here is just adorable!
Bandai
Nagisa Motomiya | Figuarts ZERO | ¥4,500 | November
MS Girl GP-03 Stamen | AGP | ¥5,500 | November
Izanagi-no-Okami | D-Arts | ¥3,800 | November
Leah: Lots from Bandai this week, though the only thing that really catches my interest is Izanagi-no-Okami. I’d be more excited for the Gundam Girl if the first one wasn’t so damn hard to put together, and while Nagisa has a cute outfit I find her face a bit too cutesy.
Stephen: Like Leah the Izanagi is the only figure here to really catch my eye. I like the Gundam Girl line, but they’re quite poorly made for their price.
FREEing
Nanoha Takamachi Bunny Ver. | 1/4 | ¥17,000 | December
Leah: Bunny Nanoha! My enthusiasm for this is a bit tempered though, so many large bunny girls and from the neck down she’s kind of indistinguishable from Ikaros.
Stephen: While I’m glad to see FREEing do a giant bunny Nanoha line, I’m starting to wonder, can they do anything else…?
Good Smile Company
Sena Kashiwazaki | 1/7 | ¥6,800 | December
Leah: I really want to like Sena. I love her design and character, but something is… off. Not to mention the matching Yozora was released this week and came out with all kinds of issues, including a botched face.
Stephen: Good Smile Company really seems to be dropping the ball lately and Sena is no exception. I have no clue why she’s so damn pissy/constipated, but it really makes for an unappealing and awkward figure.
Griffon
Flandre Scarlet Laevateinn Ver. | 1/7 | ¥9,800 | October | Re-release | Exclusive
Choun Shiryu | 1/7 | ¥7,600 | October | Re-release
Leah: I have no clue why they’d re-release this instead of their vastly superior Version 2 Flan that came out a few months ago. Choun, though, I actually do like, especially since she comes with 2 faces!
Stephen: I’ve always wanted that Flan, but yet again the prices are still way too ridiculous and the second Flan is better. Choun is pretty nice though, but I can’t see myself owning her.
Kotobukiya
KOS-MOS | 1/12 | ¥4,800 | December
Leah: I still have trouble believing this is a plastic kit, the detail is just so amazing! She comes with a price to match, however she also has like 5 weapons so that certainly makes up for it!
Stephen: This kit is flat out amazing and having made Koto kits before, I can without a doubt say that KOS-MOS here will come out fantastic.
Milkpot
Mafuyu Orifushi Miyazawa Edition | 1/7 | ¥14,000 | November | NSFW
Leah: Urgh, what is going on here? I like Mafuyu’s design but figures of her end up kind of bland.
Stephen: Overpriced and really simple. The giant pass of this week.
Orchid Seed
Chouhi Ekitou | 1/7 | v8,286 | December
Leah: Chouhi just doesn’t wow me like other Orchid figures, the sculpt is cute but the paint seems a little flat. Also, where’s the heart on her butt?!
Stephen: As Leah said, Chouhi just doesn’t pop like other Orchid Seed figures, but I feel like when she gets in my hands everything will just click like with a few of their other recent releases.
Wave
Kureha Touka | 1/8 | ¥7,800 | February
Iori & Yayoi | 1/10 | ¥3,800 | January
Iori: AmiAmi | Hobby Search
Yayoi: AmiAmi | Hobby Search
Iori & Yayoi Set | 1/10 | ¥8,000 | January
Leah: Kureha is (obviously) what I am most excited about here, though I think it’s great that the limited Iori & Yayoi set is not only available on regular stores (unlike most of their alternate versions) but also includes all the extra parts and faces!
Stephen: Kureha looks stunning and it’s great to see a limited set not screw over the consumer and require them to buy multiples of the same figure.
Well, that’s it for this week! We had quite a lot of ladies and a fairly good bit of variety in things like source material and scale. What did you pick up this week and what did you see from WonFest that you hope goes up for order soon? Let us know in the comments below!

Agreed. I adore Sena as well, but it’s difficult to want to picture this on my shelf.
I just can’t do it. Hoping w/ season 2 = better figures.
