Sometimes no matter how much I love a figure, it just falls out of my price range: that was definitely the case with ques Q’s stunning Yukari Yakumo, who I am still regretting not pre-ordering. So of course my jaw dropped when I saw this recolor, both at how pretty it is and how much it is going to cost. Unlike the previous version, this is an event-limited figure that will be at Reitaisai 9 which takes place May 27th.
She’ll retail for ¥11,000, and that’s before any proxy fees or after-market pricing! Pretty steep for a 1/8 scale figure, but this really is a beautiful sculpt and the recolor is surprisingly nice. At least she comes with alternate hair and a cast-offable skirt, but still… she’s a bit steep even given the details. This is one figure that is definitely far out of my reach, and it’s really for hardcore Touhou fans only!
