Questioners Gives Their Birdcage Girl a Release Date

Most figures, no matter how elaborate or “different,” seem rather similar in terms of overall design–they’re clearly anime girls, after all. But every once in a while a truly unique figure hits the market, and that’s essentially why I have had my eye on Questioner’s Birdcage Girl since they first announced that it would be getting a PVC run. This stunningly beautiful figure is far different from your typical anime-girl fare, with spindly limbs, a ragged appearance, and a far more realistic looking face. She’s sculpted by Sakurako, who has done some pretty famous PVCs like Love is War Miku and Elf (review), but she’s also done edgier garage kits with the same style as Birdcage Girl.

The fact that it’s produced by Questioners makes me doubt that the final one will look that great–we reviewed their Goth & Lolita Raquels, who were great with iffy quality, but apparently the next figure they released was downright awful. Hopefully they can pull it together for Birdcage Girl, who is coming out in July but has no pricing right now. Expect her to be pricey–Questioners stuff is never cheap!
