Good Smile Company has been trying to do different things with Nendoroids recently. And not just girls who aren’t in school uniforms! There’s been a move towards unique and no-standard character models, and Sonic the Hedgehog definitely fits that trend. I mean, his head is pretty much one solid piece, with little room for the faceplates and alternate parts Nendos are known for.
Of course, that doesn’t stop him from coming with a ton of stuff. He has “expressions” so to speak–the bottom part of his face can be swapped out for a happy, annoyed or grinning expressions. And he comes with a ridiculous amount of accessories: gems, rings, extra lives, and a gate that opens and closes! There’s tons of potential to recreate scenes from Sonic’s many games, and I am sure fans will adore this figure. He goes up for sale tomorrow and should be released in April!
