Usually magazine scans come out on a predictable schedule, so imagine my surprise when these images popped up early! They’re certainly not the full scans, and they’re missing the crisp, scanned-in quality of the actual thing. Basically these are rather illicit cellphone shots of Hobby Japan taken a day early, because Japan is so serious about toys that they will sneak online images of a magazine a day in advance.
There’s a lot of new stuff in the pieces we’ve seen so far: a Siggy Revoltech from Queen’s Blade Rebellion, a figma of Princess of Crystal from Mawaru Penguindrum, and a model kit of Danboard from Kotobukiya. We’ve also seen a lot of stuff newly sculpted: the Cheerful Japan Miku, the Inami Mahiru Nendoroid from Working!!, and most excitingly Max Factory’s Tony Taka Luka! I didn’t expect to see her painted so early after her “re-announcement” last month, so this is amazing news.
As for colored stuff, we’ve got the White Rock Shooter RAH and confirmation that the Shining Blade Sakuya is real! While this is a lot of info you can tell this is not all of the scans because of the complete lack of figures from Alter, MegaHouse, and AmiAmi Zero, who usually show off at least one new thing each month. There are also no Beach Queens, and we usually get at least 2 of them! Full scans should be going up tonight, and we’ll be sure to post them as quickly as we can!
[UPDATE] So we STILL don’t have real scans, just some bad cellphone pictures of some new pages. There’s really only 3 things worth pointing out that are new–Max Factory’s 1/7 Holy Angel Kamineko Kuroneko is painted, AmiAmi Zero’s Yagyu Jubei popped up, and the last one is quite strange–Alter showed off Hanna-Justina Marseille from Strike Witches 2. Granted, she looks absolutely stunning, but Alter hasn’t finished sculpting their Strike Witches 1 line. It seems kind of odd for them to be starting on the second one already!
