People have been begging for Sailor Moon figures for a very long time, but the creator had a tight hold on the license. However, a new anime was announced recently, and it’s the 20th anniversary of the franchise. Apparently the licensers are feeling generous finally, because Bandai has snagged the license! With this and Pokemon announced in the last 2 days, they sure are hopping on the nostalgia train.
We’re getting a S.H.Figuart AND a Chibi-Art of Sailor Moon herself, and as you can see in the background the rest of the Sailor Scouts have been announced as well! I assume that we’ll get Figuarts and Chibi-Arts of all of the main 5 at least: maybe Tuxedo Mask and some of the Outer Senshi as well? Either way, I am so thrilled with this announcement!

Oh man, this made me so happy! I’ve always wanted Sailor Moon Nendoroids, but I’ll settle for those adorable Chibi-Arts. :’D

I seriously need her, I’ve always wanted some Sailor Moon action figures…nendoroids would be nice but chibi arts will do ^-^
That Chibi Arts is adorable, but I have a feeling these are going to be a pain and a half to get.

What is Bandai’s quality like? I’ve never both a product from them before but… Sailor Moon!! But I’m wondering if these figures will be good or not? Are they cheaper than figmas/Nendoroids or about the same?

Bandai’s quality is so-so. Some of their figures come out nice, but honestly it’s not up to GSC/MF quality when it comes to their Chibi-Arts and Figuarts. You’re not going to be getting Nendoroid quality, but it’s not terrible either. Just don’t expect as much shading/detail work and there might be a few tiny paint hiccups. The S.H.Figuarts are usually pretty good though in terms of poseability, though the quality is about the same. I think the D-Arts are usually a bit better. As for price, the Chibi-Arts are about on par with Nendoroids and S.H.Figuarts are maybe a tad over figma pricing depending on the detail level.
