Way back in November, images of a mysterious Special Kuji Persona 4 line appeared. The figures were all unpainted and no manufacturer was listed, and while other prizes from the set were unveiled, like a Teddie glasses holder, we still had no clue who was making them!
Well, now the website is up and we have fully painted images of all the figures, and it turns out that this is indeed a new line by Banpresto. It’s the Special Kuji Platinum, which in essence is just another fancy name for Ichiban Kuji. Entries are lottery-based, and there are higher-end prizes (the scaled MC, Izanagi, Chie, and Yukiko) and lower-end prizes (the aformentioned Teddie, eye covers, mini figures, and cards). If you really want them it shouldn’t be too hard to complete the set… but it will be expensive!

So, will these show up on proxy websites or something? I really want Yukiko.
They probably won’t–since they are lottery entries, there’s no way to guarantee that you’ll get one so proxies don’t offer them. Otacute used to, but for grossly inflated prices: like $100 a figure. You should be able to find them on Mandarake and Yahoo Japan once the lottery is over, since a lot of people enter just to resell.
Meh, kinda unremarkable items anyway so the exclusivity isn’t a huge bother.
