Usually, I am totally fine with the fact that I can’t own garage kits… or most of them, at least, as I’ll admit that I am not opposed to purchasing a few things from e2046. But every once in a while, one of the gks floating around just gets to me, and I feel like I HAVE to own it. That was pretty much my reaction to Spare Tale’s Purple Sister, from the Hyperdimension Neptunia sequel Choujigen Game Neptune mk2.
It’s kind of odd timing, as ques Q just announced a PVC version of a Purple Heart GK which was, at the time, the only real kit from the franchise. Well, now we have a second one! And my goodness is she awesome, a perfectly moe mecha musume. I love figures like this! Spare Tale will be selling her at this WonFest for ¥9,000 but, of course, she is unassembled and unpainted.

I’m not familiar with Nepgear’s transformation(s?) since mk2 isn’t out in the US yet, but it is nice seeing a more diverse landscape of figures instead of 1,001 Miku figures. The paint looks a little rough in the shots, but given that it’s a GK and not a release from like ALTER, that’s to be expected I guess.
Even then, I’m sure that whoever assembled and painted the kit would make out better than if I were to attempt something like that; I mean, I can’t even glue a small piece of paper onto posterboard straight let alone have the steady hands required to assemble and paint a GK. (Otherwise, I’d buy up that GK of Millenia from Grandia II… Man, I wish I knew someone locally that worked with GKs… ;_;) If I had the skill and knew the character more, this would likely be on my list of stuff to get. Sadly, though…
