We already know all about the exclusives Griffon has lined up for Touhou Kouroumu, but of course they had some new reveals on hand as well! Four brand-new figures, in fact. First up, we’ve got the colored prototype for a Curiosities of Lotus Asia version Youmu Konpaku… or at least, a picture of it. I really love the cutesy look of this version, and I think it’s my favorite they have done so far. Yes, even more than the one with the fancy base!
Then we’ve got some outline-only teasers of 3 new girls. They’re doing a second version of Fujiwara no Mokou (perhaps to go with the new Keine?), this time with some kick-ass looking wings. The first one was an easy pass for me, but if they can deliver on that design I am so in! Then, finally, we have some actual new girls–Mononobe no Futo and Kasen Ibaraki, both of whom have never gotten figures before. Exciting to finally see some new characters, especially since they’ve been MIA on Lorelai Mystia.

Mokou has a powerful looking sketch but I can’t get excited. All those flames could easily turn into a festival of gaudy translucent plastic.
Liking how prominent Myon is too.
Gonna need to see Youmu from more angles. Some proportions and the motion of the skirt are kinda odd. The CoLA figures often get too frilly for me, Youmu’s simpler outfit counteracts that so you just get a cute ruffle on her tie and headgear.
