Hot on the heels of the pricing info for DDs Saber Alter and Extra, Volks is giving us even more doll-related news! Their magazine, Volks News 45, has just come out, and as usual it has some exciting tidbits in it. There are some adorable new outfits that are modeled by Aoi and Yukino, and they look very pop-idol inspired! There are also some cute maid outfits in pink and black. I am kind of on the fence with these, and I really prefer the outfits for Volks’ September Collection.
Then we got the surprise announcement of DDH-06. This is surprising because there’s no 05! The sculpt looks very similar to Reimu and Marisa, and it’s shown with a variety of faceups, all of which look adorable. It’s a young-looking head like the 04, but I find this sculpt a lot more appealing. The eyes on 04 are just too big for me, and these look more realistic… at least realistic for a doll! There is most likely going to be a painted release of the 06, which I am really looking forward to. It will retail for ¥8,800 and I am definitely going to be picking this up! I think it would look adorable on a DDdy.
There’s also a small teaser of the announced sister dolls for Moe and Natsuki, which should be unveiled or released at the Volks VIP event on October 31st. One of the best bits of info, at least for me, is the announcement of NEW HANDS! We have a cute posing set and one that seems to be an alternate version of the holding hands. And last but not least, Aoi and Yukino’s faceups look very different in these shots… maybe they are getting second versions? I know I’d get an Aoi if she had that adorable blush!
