Those big heads do NOT balance well! In fact, I only own two: the Lunatic Queen and Melissa (because she looks just like Lady Blackhawk). But every once in a while one comes along that really grabs my attention, and Queen Rosalind (or Rosarind, depending on how you translate the Japanese r/l) definitely fits the bill!</p> <p>This regal girl has it all going on: stunning faceup, a gorgeous stock outfit, a lovely wig that doesn’t look like it would be too hard to manage. Of course the good ones always tend to be 1) limited or 2) expensive, and sometimes a combination of both.     Bow Down Before The Queen Rosalind Pullip

    PVC Pre-Order Roundup: 1/6~1/10

    Asmus Toys’ Gorgeous ‘The Swan’ Statues

    Sometimes you come across a figure that makes you stop dead in your tracks, mouth hanging open like an idiot because it’s so impossibly beautiful. That is exactly what happened when I first laid eyes on the images of Asmus Toys’ The Swan statue, sculpted by the very talented PKKing and illustrated by Po Wen. The detail here is just breathtaking, with every single feather on these ladies sculpted to perfection. And their faces! My heart is aflutter.

    The Swan comes in, unsurprisingly, both Black and White versions. While I usually go for the darker style I prefer the White Swan of the two of them, but both are effortlessly elegant and I need them right now. Of course they won’t be easy to get: pre-orders for April are open on Taobao and Ruten, but you’re going to need a proxy and they’re already around $200 a pop before fees and shipping. But considering the level of detail (and their 1/6 size) that hardly seems like a steep price.

    Today On The Internet: Madoka’s Fashion Show

    Possibly the best thing about dolls is that you can dress them up however you want, so it’s not surprising that it’s the first thing that people did when they got the RAH Madoka!     Magazine Scans: December 2012

    Welcome to the last batch of Hobby Japan scans for 2012! That’s right, the year really is drawing to a close. Which means thinking of a list of our favorite figures, working on golden butt and boobie awards, and oh yeah.. scans! We already saw the announcement of Irma but of course that’s not all (though honestly there’s not as much new as usual this time around). We’ve got lots and lots of swimsuit girls, and a few gems thrown in. We will be sure to update if any more go up, but for right now this is all there is!

    Prepare Your Wallets For The Homura Akemi Real Action Hero

    Well, we all knew it was going to happen. After the RAH Madoka Kaname and Mami Tomoe, HomuHomu was inevitable.     Kotobukiya’s Dead Space 3 Isaac Clarke ARTFX Statue

    This year at SDCC, Kotobukiya announced that they’d be doing a figure of the protagonist from Dead Space. It was an unusual but exciting choice for the company, and I was really looking forward to the final product. Well we’re getting a detailed look at the prototype now and hot damn is he looking fantastic! Seriously, that first picture looks like it was taken right from the game.
