  • Whoo, scans. Pardon my lack of enthusiasm, but the week leading up to Wonder Festival always has me dreading scans. It means extra features (garage kit roundup and wishlist) on top of, well, the event coverage and we have three reviews to work on this week! So when I remembered scans were tonight I nearly cried. For real, ask Stephen. So, let’s just dive right in. Wow, such figures! So PVC! Wowwwww! Maybe I’ll just do every post in Shibe…

  • While Miku has gotten tons and tons of scaled figures and even the Kagamine twins got some PVC love, one of the most popular Vocaloids, Luka, has been pretty much left in the dust. Thankfully Max Factory has finally graced her with a figure that’s been teased for months and months–she was colored at Wonder Festival and finally she is going up for order, which I am sure will make Luka fans jump with joy. Seeing as how this figure was sculpted by Chieri she is, of course, absolutely gorgeous from her elegant fingers to her seductive body to her flowing hair. The hair, however, is the one thing that annoys me about this figure–the paintjob lacks depth and really isn’t pink enough, but knowing how inconsistent the shots were on the Tony Taka Miku I expect her to (hopefully) be more pink in person. She goes up for order on the 8th (tomorrow), and seeing as how Tony Taka art sculpted by Chieri is pretty much my favorite figure combination I will be placing my order the second pre-orders appear!
