From the moment that Good Smile Company & Max Factory announced that they would be working on The Avengers and Amazing Spider-Man, I thought it was a pretty weird turn of events. But after the undeniable popularity of Nendoroids Iron Man and Spider-Man, it’s clear that there is no stopping this money train any time soon! At last Winter WonFest most of the figmas were sculpted, and it seems we are getting our first painted release. No surprise, it’s Spidey from The Amazing Spider-Man! We also have a closer look at the other sculpts.
He looks good, though a little bit like a contortionist. Definitely more natural than the Nendoroid! We also have a new announcement that is at least kind of related. 3A is continuing their collaboration with a super awkward looking Invincible Iron Man. Am I the only one experiencing Avengers overdose?

To the delight of gaming and vinyl fans, 3A has recently started working with Valve, bringing their iconic characters to a 3D platform. First up was the Companion Square (which will not be coming out until SDCC it seems), and now they’re… still working on Portal! Not really a surprise, but they’ve unveiled large figures of Portal 2‘s ATLAS and P-body. The raw sculpts here are looking amazing, though 3A’s larger pieces certainly don’t come cheap. Hopefully they are smart and actually take pre-orders of these goofy robots: I have a feeling a LOT of people will want to own them regardless of the cost!

Recently 3A announced that they were doing figures with Valve, though I think everyone assumed it would be a while before we got any actual info as they’re not the fastest company. However, they decided to work pretty quickly and are already showing off the first piece in the line–a Companion Square! The platform is a perfect choice to represent the Companion Cube, and that little duck face is just so freaking cute. I think for Portal fans this is pretty much a must-buy, though we don’t have any info on it yet. We’ll be sure to let you know as soon as orders are available, as this will definitely be a very popular figure!

Well, it’s prime time for companies to start showing off their New York Comic Con exclusives and ThreeA is no exception. In their latest 3AVOX, we have quite a few teasers of things including their New York Comic Con Zomb. These 1/6th scale figures will come packaged in boxes resembling coffins and will be sold by the 3A Legion on hand bringing the ThreeA presence to New York Comic Con. Also announced is a ThreeA art show entitled REVENTURE, which has been talked about by some artists in the show for quite some time, but it’s great to know that this event really will be happening next year from April 27th through May 4th.
Also shown off were the box for the new Tomorrow King as well as a new teaser for the 10 Finger Robot Gang, which will be the big item for October and expect more information on those soon. There’s also a 1:1 scale Tomorrow Queen foot, which I have no clue what that’s for or who would want it, but it’s quite sleek and interesting as well as some images of the new 10″ book that will be included with larger figures.
Well, that’s it for this week, which wasn’t as info-packed as others, and let us know if you’ll be allowing any of the Zombs to invade your collection come New York Comic Con in the comments below.

ThreeA, or as I like to refer to them recently, “the busiest people in vinyl”, haven’t missed a beat this week and are continuing on their 3AVOX series with its 5th installment of teasers and information galore. First up, as seen in the header, is the finished Zaku collaboration with Bandai. This gas-masked post-apocalyptic take on the iconic Zaku from the Gundam universe is incredibly stunning and I love all of the details and jet-packs and the weathered colorway. There’s no word yet on a release date or price, but it should be soon as these are the pictures of the finished item.
Also this week, the long discussed Caesar was released in 12 colorways including the special Steve Jobs tribute Ap-Pel version along with a secret release of the WWR Square Bomb, all of which are now gone from the Bambaland store. Also teased this week are the Finger Gang, which will also contain 11 colorways and will be blind-boxed as well as sold in a set of all 11 entitled the faux retailer carton set. Lastly, the 3ALUX Real Steel figures are finally put together, there’s a 1/12th scale Action King figure, and a new piece teased as just art entitled the Nabler, which seems to be quite obscene. Do any of these strike your fancy? If so let us know in the comments below!

Well, we knew that today ThreeA would be putting up their awesome 16.5″ tall Caesar figures in a whopping 12 colorways including the special Ap-Pel Steve Jobs tribute colorway (all of which are now available on Bambaland), but there was also a little surprise in store as well that’s highly unstable: the WWR Square Bomb 1/6th! This little guy seems to have a bomb on his head and doesn’t know the wiser of it and is labeled unstable on the front. Also on his side, he’s marked with Square Park ENZO on his side, the area in which he was tested for three days before killing his engineers in an explosion: intense!
I personally love the Squares as they’re just so goofy and cute and the bomb on his head is such a cute touch that I had to break down and order one. If you want to add one of these little guys to your collection, he’s available now for pre-order for $50.00 with free shipping and will come out in January of 2012, but watch out, when he arrives he just may take out all of your other figures!

Earlier today we showed you the newest addition to the WWR world of ThreeA, Caesar, and now, we have an image of the secret colorway, which is, by far, the best colorway. This tribute piece to Apple Computer’s Steve Jobs entitled Ap-Pel features the classic 80s Apple rainbow on the shield as well as Steve J written on its chest. It also comes in a beige colorway familiar to anyone who owned a Mac computer pre-iMac and is without a doubt, one of the best tie ins I’ve ever seen. This figure will be released alongside the other pieces on Wednesday the 14th at 9:00 am Hong Kong time on the Bambaland store and is said to be about the same run size as all of the other colorways. I’d love to add this piece to my collection, but at $230, it’s quite pricey, but are any of you readers thinking of picking this piece up due to its amazing colorway?

The other day when ThreeA teased their Caesar figure, we told you that more information would be coming today, and well… here it is! Originally teased a few weeks ago, Caesar is a larger figure in the WWR universe and now we know that he stands at a whopping 16.5″ tall! As stated before, there will be eleven colorways of this figure and they are the R.I.P 001, R.I.P 002, Surgeon G, EMGY NYC TRG, PRU Support, Gravedigger, Jungler DGB, J.E.A GSC, 666th Clint E, Dutch Merc, and Deep Comm.
I really like the sleek looks of the R.I.P 001 and 002 and the Gravedigger, Deep Comm, and Surgeon all caught my eye as well. If you’re looking to add one of these colorways, all of which can be seen in the gallery below, to your collection, they will be available on Wednesday the 14th at 9:00 am Hong Kong time for $230 and will come with the first 3A WWR story booklet and all of these colorways are exclusive to the Bambaland store never to be offered again. All orders will be shipped in January 2012 and hit the jump to check out all of Caesar’s back story.
