Altair Archive

And it’s always with girls (or boys, from the Altair line) from franchises that I otherwise wouldn’t care about. Am I super obsessed with their Love Live and IM@S girls? Yes. Would I willingly watch either of those shows? No. I just love frilly dresses so very much.

This year they have a great lineup. Shiki Ichinose from Cinderella Girls is the most beautiful thing I’ve seen in my life, but the Love Live girls are also looking strong with a gorgeous Riko Sakurauchi. We have many, many FREE! boys and some other Altair announcements: Fate/Grand Order dudes! Merlin, Arthur Pendragon, and Edmon Dantes will all be getting scales. If you like the ladies, Alter will be doing Shielder too. They seem to be getting back to Strike Witches, which is nice, and we also have a surprise Chachamaru and Asuna. Check them all out below!

[via amiami & aozaki_n]

Oddly enough, I kind of hate watching all those shows but I passionately love the figures. Who knows with these things. And oh boy is this a good year for idol-loving peeps. Their stunning Ranko is painted, along with Sachiko. We’ve got the world’s freaking cutest Anzu Futaba and a sassy as hell Shiki Ichinose. As for Love Live!, there are new figures of Rin Hoshizora and Hanayo Koizumi.

For the boys, we have Ai Mikaze and Ranmaru Kurosaki from Uta no☆Prince-sama♪ painted and Camus is sculpted. The much-anticipated Okoi from Oboro Muramasa is here, and we have an announcement for Torahime! There was a surprise sculpt for SAO‘s Sinon, the casual Lancer sculpt, Ikumi Mito it painted, and we’ve got a very suggestive maid Lala. Oh, and Santa Alter Saber is on display too! It’s so weird and over the top but I love Christmas figures.

[via AmiAmi’s Twitter]

Let’s be honest, their Wonder Festival displays tend to leave one lacking. But not this year, oh no. I mean oh my god.

First off, we’re getting a brand-new Gwendolyn! What a surprise. I thought the new Velvet was to go with old Gwen & Mercedes, but I guessed wrong (does this mean we get a new Mercedes too??). It’s like Wonder Festival’s little brother! While it’s smaller, it’s still full of exciting announcements! Well, a few announcements. Alter brought all their newest goodies out in full force. While there’s not much new (just the announcement of Rei Sakuma and Ritsu Sakuma from Ensemble Stars), there are lots of painted beauties. Like their bunny Sora, or the Charlotte & Laura cat pajama figures which I am IN LOVE WITH. Their Love Live! Umi is also painted, and so so pretty, along with Leonardo Watch from the Altair line.

We also have some sculpts! Purple Heart is here (and while I love her design, not a single one of her many figures has done it for me), along with some of the Alpha x Omega girls: Karen Houjou and Nao Kamiya.
