It’s taken them quite some time to get around to actually making them, but it seems like we are finally seeing some progress! We actually saw Yagyu Kyubei <a href="http://www.plastikitty.com/home/magazine-scans-january-2013" target="_blank">in scans a while back</a> but there have been some changes since then, mainly who is manufacturing her: it’s changed from MegaHouse to Alpha x Omega, Alter and MegaHouse’s joint company.</p> <p>Yagyu looks amazing, with a beautiful short pink kimono-type ensemble and a fierce eyepatch. If you don’t like her dramatic pose and face you can give her a more demure expression, and she even comes with a monkey (named Bichigusomaru)! She retails for ¥8,400 which seems like a bit much, but at least she does have a lot of extras. Her base price is also on the high end–she’s ¥11,000 before any proxy fees, but she’s also 11″ tall with that umbrella and pretty damn detailed. Sadly we here at Plastikitty got hit by a nasty spring flu so we’ve been out of commission in terms of the roundup for a few weeks, but now we’re back in business! But <a href="http://www.plastikitty.com/home/alter-unveils-two-new-strike-witches" target="_blank">the paint job</a> left me wanting.</p> <p>We’re getting a second preview now, and I am much happier! I still don’t love the coat but she comes with an alternate torso featuring her normal outfit along with a calmer face. Plus the antenna the first preview was missing! And the image of her with Eila, my favorite witch, looks just lovely! Like half of their K-On! line and Chitanda Eru, who I bemoaned when <a href="www.plastikitty.com/home/winter-wonder-festival-2013-alter" target="_blank">she came up at Wonder Festival</a>. Note: I am the exact opposite of a KyoAni fan, so this is like… the exact opposite of exciting for me. So, for example, we might not get some of our January stuff until the beginning of March (yet mysteriously it will be with not just February but March items as well). You may have noticed that we skipped a January loot post: well, that’s because we didn’t even get all our figures from it until a few days ago!</p> <p>But thankfully January and February seemed to be smaller months than most, so we’re just going to combine them into a mega loot post!
