Angel Archive

  • Last WonFest, FREEing announced that they would be doing a figma of Pixie, one of the more iconic monsters from the Shin Megami Tensei franchise. Oh, and Mara too, but that ended up being a $300+ figure. Bleh. But now, we have two figmas! Pixie and Angel. I have to say, neither of them looks… particularly amazing, but this is FREEing after all, and the monsters are so starved for figures that I am not going to complain. [via figsoku]

  • If you’re a long-time Plastikitty reader, you probably already know that Shunya Yamashita has illustrated pretty much the entirety of the Tekken cast already. But if we know one thing, it’s that Shunya likes to draw. A lot. There’s no stopping this guy! So it’s no surprise that in his new artbook, Beautiful Noise, he’s got even more Tekken ladies in store for us. The most important is probably Michelle Chang, who as we’ve surmised is probably the next Tekken Bishoujo. But here we’ve got his full art with the proper background, and this is probably what we’ll see for her Bish announcement! We’ve also got Kunimitsu (want please!), Miharu in a swimsuit, and an absolutely stunning Angel. I mean… look at her. I NEED THIS. Right now. You all know my weakness for winged ladies knows no bounds! [Thanks to Stuart Campbell for both the tip and the images!]

  • This was a slow week for figures. Most companies were on holiday for Sunday, so we didn’t get any news, and then nothing really notable went up on Monday. I thought Tuesday would be promising, but we got zilch! Turned out that Thursday and Friday were pretty good, but still, not a whole lot went up this week. But there were some surprising releases that I am really looking forward to, and quite a few re-releases, so hit the jump to check them out!

  • Sideshow makes a lot of comic statues, and it seems like they brought their entire warehouse to SDCC! Most of their figures were from the Marvel side of things, but a few independent comic characters popped up, as well as some DC stuff! Their amazing Joker was on display, as well as announcements for a Wonder Woman, Superman, and Batman. I would own that Joker in a heartbeat if I wasn’t absolutely terrified of him! Their stunning Angel was in a case, and man is that a gorgeous sculpt. Comic statues faces aren’t really my thing, as I’ve said previously, but I’d be willing to overlook it for those wings! It seems like Sideshow generally has really good body sculpts, as you can see on Rogue and Madame Hydra. Sue Storm also looks nice, but you can tell that they aren’t very used to using clear resin as her legs look a bit foggy. Still, I’m not one to knock experimentation! There was a ton more on display, so hit the jump to check them all out and let us know what you’re looking forward to!
