When Good Smile Company & Co announced their September delays, I’m sure we were all thinking the same thing. Hey, that’s not so bad! Could be much worse, right? Well this is Good Smile we’re talking about. So not only could it be worse–it’s gonna be worse. Oh yeah, we’ve got more coming. Not a whole lot more, but enough to make me let out an audible sigh. And unlike most of them, only one is getting bumped back to October–Max Factory’s Nyaruko.
The others are pushed way back to November! Ugh, I don’t even want to think about snowy weather. And holidays. Uuugh. Anyway, the figures getting hit with delays are the newest figma Guts, FREEings Mei Misaki, Mu-21, & FREEing’s Marie Mamiya. Not so bad, especially since I’m sure a few of thouse *cough*FREEingfiguresasidefromMu12*cough* weren’t on a ton of people’s order lists. But Nyaruko, noooo!

Welcome to the week of scantily clad ladies! It seems that everyone this time around is at least partially undressed–we’ve got everything from swimsuits to maids to aprons to lingerie to cow outfits (no joke). Well, not everyone: there are some ladies with a full set of clothing, including a goth loli who has proven herself pretty popular and one of the less popular Nanoha ladies. Check them all out after the jump!

There hasn’t been much in the way of new announcements from Miyazawa Model Exhibition, more so just companies showing off newly painted or sculpted figures. But finally, we have something brand new! FREEing has taken on Mei Misaki from Another and are doing a swimsuit version of her. No scale is listed, but based on the group shots I’m going to guess at 1/7 or 1/8.
We also have some of their figures from Wonder Festival painted. The 1/4 scale Miu Takanashi and Sora Takanashi are painted, along with the very busty Marie Mamiya from Starless.

Mei Misaki from Another seems to be a relatively popular character, though none of the major companies have worked on her yet. It’s really been just prize figures and that one lovely version from Griffon sculpted by Toda Satoshi, but as we found out at Summer WonFest Art Spirits planned to work on miss Misaki as well!
She’s.. well, she is nowhere near as detailed as the higher-end companies, but she does come with some nice extras to make up for it. She has two poses: one touching her bandaged eye, the other with the eye revealed! I am all for heterocromia so I prefer the second. I wish I could tell you that she was at least reasonably priced compared to the Griffon version but this 1/8 scale figure is going to be ¥7,510. For ¥2,000 more you can get the Griffon version which comes with double the figures… yeah, this is not looking like a good deal to me.

Is it just me, or do prize fairs happen pretty much nonstop? The 29th was only a short while ago, and the 30th is already here! I have to admit, this is probably the most exciting prize fair in a while. It’s jam-packed with awesome, the star of the show being a set of Persona 4 Arena prize figures from Taito based on their game art. It includes pretty much everyone but Rise (sigh), including, yes, Kanji and Naoto! Plus, the poses are AMAZING! Seriously, look at that Yukiko.
We also have a surprising and sfw figure of Tamaki. While she’s popular in the scaled world I think this is actually her first prize figure! Then we’ve got all the regulars: Code Geass, OreImo, Nanoha, K-On!, Evangelion, One Piece, Another, Bakemonogatari, and more. We also have some newcomers like Photokanon, Senran Kagura, Medaka Box, and more, so check them all out in the gallery!

We’ve looked at the Lelouch, Sailor Moon, Guilty Gear, and Cure Peace S.H.Figuarts & D-Arts, but to no one’s surprise there were a ton more on hand at Tamashii Nations 2012. They had Hakumen from BlazBlue, Nagisa Motomiya from AKB0048, Mei Misaka and Izumi Akazawa from Another, Golden Darkness, Alicia from God Eater Burst, the Durarara!! boys we saw at Dengeki’s 20th, and Aoi Ichikawa from Hikounin Sentai Akibaranger. Check them all out and more in the gallery!

We’ve already taken a look at some of the highlights of Tamashii Nations, but there’s of course a lot more at the event! Their Chibi-Arts line seems to be growing in popularity, and we’ve already seen the Sailor Moon one they had on hand. Also on display were the teased Ja’far and Sinbad ones from Magi, Wild Tiger and child Barnaby Brooks Jr. from Tiger & Bunny, Meer Campbell, Boa Hancock, Mei Misaki, and Kise Yayoi to go with Cure Peace. I am excited to see Meer in the lineup, though at the moment she looks a bit…. possessed.

While we had lots of new announcements at the Dengeki 20th Anniversary Festival, we also had a lot of… prize figures! Many of these are from the 29th Prize Fair, or even earlier–in fact, a few are coming out this month. And while nothing is new, a lot of previously unpainted figures have been finished, like the Sword Art Online set. We’ve got the new Shin Megami Tensei set, as well as a really gorgeous racing queen Rei! There’s also a good example of a very bad prize figure (good lord, that Tenshi…) as well as some pretty amazing looking Vocaloid sets of Gumi and Lily.

Due to the hustle and bustle of New York Comic Con, we’re a little bit late on the roundup this week, but of course we have to bring you the latest in PVC goodness! This week we’ve got quite a few goodies: some beautiful ladies, an adorable idol, a few throwbacks, and a handful of boys! Oh and of course the necessary handful of Nendoroids. Check them all out after the jump!
