  • While Phat! Company seems to be toning down on their IDOLM@STER line (my all-time fave from them), they still had quite a few nice figures out & about at Wonder Festival. Like our header girl, the Parform Mercedes, or their new No Game No Life figure. Or, of course, the new Fate/Grand Order figures. They also had a few exciting new announcements! Aqua & Megumin from Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku o! 2, Stephanie Dola from No Game No Life, and… the protagonist from Persona 5 in his school outfit! [via Phat’s twitter]

  • Sometimes I wonder to myself, “what the hell is going on with the Kingdom Hearts franchise?” 2 came out over 10 years ago, and it’s probably going to be a while before we get 3 (or even any info on a release date, sigh). Yet there are multiple side games with bizarre names like Birth by Sleep -A Fragmentary passage- and Dream Drop Distance. Who comes up with these? Are they given LSD and locked in a room where Animal Collective plays nonstop until the come up with a sufficiently trippy title? Truly a mystery. Square-Enix had 2 Play-Arts from the franchise on display: Sora from KHIII (toys before game seems to be so common nowadays), and Aqua from Birth by Sleep. There’s also some amazingly cute vinyl figures of the various cute/evil critters that populate the world. Who doesn’t want a tiny Heartless lurking around their apartment?

  • Aqua from the awkwardly named Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku o! (God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World!, or KonoSuba) has been having a surge in popularity these last few days. The show just finished airing a few months ago and Bellefine has already put out a figure of her! Now it’s time for the chibified Nendoroid which we last saw at Anime Japan. She kind of looks like a bootleg Rayearth girl to me, but I guess… blue hair sells? I must admit that the Nendo is cute as hell. While I’m not crazy about the design, her extras are fantastic. There’s a cute little flower spear, fans spewing water (wat?), and two amazing extra faces: nervous/possibly psychotic, and crying. The crying one alone is worth it to me, so much potential! Orders open tonight. [via Kahotan]

  • If there is an event where Good Smile Company is at attendance, you can bet that there will be Nendoroids. So many Nendoroids. We have some announcements: Fate/Apocrypha‘s Jeanne d’Arc (yay!), Aoba Suzukane from New Game!, and Aqua from Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku o!. We also have some updated sculpts. Ainz Ooal Gown from Overlord is painted, as is Kogane Asabuki from Bubuki Buranki. Also Matsuno Osomatsu is sculpted, so I’m sure all the other brothers are to follow! We also have one of Miku’s Co-De outfits all painted up. [UPDATE] Added some up-close shots, and also a second Miku! [via Kahotan & AmiAmi]
