I feel like it’s been forever since Mikatan previewed a scaled figure and it was an actual out of left field surprise! We’re now getting a full look at Phat! Company’s Meruru, who we last saw some time ago unpainted (and by a different company!). This is the 3rd in their Atelier line: first was Totori, and then child Rorona. We also have an adult Rorona from Megahouse, rounding out the trio!
Meruru is such a bright, cheerful figure that really oozes personality. Her sculpt certainly isn’t perfect and there are some areas like her skirt that seem quite stiff, but the rest more than makes up for it to me. I mean, look at the gradient on her cape! The awesome stars and flowers on her base! She’s just lovely, and this is a figure I am highly anticipating. She’ll go up for order tomorrow! And if you want more Atelier in your life, you’re in luck: Phat! Company will be making a second Totori, this time in her 19-year-old form as she appears in the Meruru game.

Surprisingly, it’s from a 3rd company: Gift! Company is offering one: though it’s very different! This is the child version of Rororina, and it’s almost too cute to deal with.
