@GeekeryDo: @mikeyturvey I agree with you. I stopped reading them because I got tired of it, though @Sir_Narwhal is correct that it's normal for comics.

@GeekeryDo: @Sir_Narwhal @mikeyturvey yeh but that's just one arc and it's easy to read it all since, as you said, it's been put together like that.

@NFern0: @Sir_Narwhal Sounds like (ohoho) specialist equipment. Black Friday is more mass consumer oriented isn't it?

Barnaby Brooks Jr. Archive

Bandai knows by now that they can milk their fans for a whole lot of money. They make seemingly half of their items exclusives, and a good chunk of the ones that go up in regular stores end up hyper-limited. Especially when it comes to Tiger & Bunny! Now, though, they’re pushing fan loyalty a bit far with an exclusive bundle of five figures in the ‘Barnaby Birthday Set.’ Yes, five. On the larger end of things we’ve got the Figuarts ZERO Kotetsu T. Kaburagi ‘Eyepatch Version’ and the S.H.Figuarts Prototype Suit. Then there’s the child version Chibi-Arts of Barnaby himself, which we saw at Tamashii Nations.
Last and, yeah, kind of least are Deformeister Petits of Kotetsu and Barnaby. All this for the low low price of ¥12000! Oh, and it’s limited to Amazon Japan, which doesn’t ship figures internationally so yes, you are going to need a proxy. The life of a Tiger & Bunny fan is suffering!

We’ve already taken a look at some of the highlights of Tamashii Nations, but there’s of course a lot more at the event! Their Chibi-Arts line seems to be growing in popularity, and we’ve already seen the Sailor Moon one they had on hand. Also on display were the teased Ja’far and Sinbad ones from Magi, Wild Tiger and child Barnaby Brooks Jr. from Tiger & Bunny, Meer Campbell, Boa Hancock, Mei Misaki, and Kise Yayoi to go with Cure Peace. I am excited to see Meer in the lineup, though at the moment she looks a bit…. possessed.

MegaHouse is at it again with another dose of super-limited figure orders! First up we’ve got the G.E.M of Barnaby Brooks Jr. from Tiger & Bunny to go along with Kotetsu. Then there’s the ‘Sailing Again’ version of Perona, who we saw painted at Wonder Festival. I like this a lot more than the first version of her, but those eyes still terrify me! They will both be going up October 10th at 18:00 JST, so be sure to stay up late if you want one of these two for a reasonable price. I’ve participated in a few P.O.P-wars before, and it’s always a bit of a fun challenge. However, I think I am going to sit it out this time–while I got Kotetsu, Barnaby just doesn’t have the same charm for me.

And now, time for the boys! The lone Aquarion Evol boy, Kagura, was on hand and painted. We’ve also got the Blue Exorcist (Aoi no Exorcist) G.E.M duo of Rin and Yukio Okumura. Rin is looking great, plus he has a little cat buddy! They finally showed off their teased Barnaby Brooks Jr. as well, though their super-limited nature makes me a bit hesitant to hop on board. Then there are the P.O.Ps, all of which we actually saw unpainted at MegaHobby. There’s Eustass Kid, Killer, and a chubby little Chopper. Last but not least is the unfinished sculpt of Gintama as a kid–how cute!

The magazine scans have come and gone, but like always some information slips through the cracks. This time it is a pretty big-deal announcement, as MegaHouse is extending their Tiger & Bunny G.E.M line! Before this we only had Kaburagi T. Kotetsu (who is now painted though we have no full shots). Now we are getting two more boys: Barnaby Brooks Jr. and Ivan Karelin! Sadly they won’t have animal ears, that was just the most painfully adorable art I could find. Hopefully this means we’ll get the entire cast: I’d love a scaled figure of Blue Rose!
[UPDATE] We now have painted pictures of Kotetsu from Photozou. He looks amazing!
