Beast Archive

  • Kotobukiya’s been on a bit of a nostalgia trip lately, first with their DC Comics Super Powers line and now with their amazing ArtFX+ of the ’92 X-Men. Featuring Cyclops, Beast, Jubilee, and Wolverine so far, these flat-colored figures bring that iconic show from the screen to real life. I really love the color choice here and lack of shading as it fits with the style of the original quite well and I really love that these are all quite whimsical as well. My personal favorite is Beast and his suave look, but all four are quite great, and at about $40 a figure, these are quite affordable too. Who do you want to see added to the line? Let us know in the comments!

  • The Marvel Now ArtFX+ line from Kotobukiya has already brought us some cool (and neglected characters) like Magik, and it seems like they’ll be continuing with the X-Men theme for their next set! Or, really, just giving us a continuation of the original one. We’ll be getting Beast (who is already painted!), Rogue (sculpted), and Wolverine (sculpted) along with an all-white Magneto recolor. I wonder if we’ll get a white Emma too?
