@GeekeryDo: @mikeyturvey I agree with you. I stopped reading them because I got tired of it, though @Sir_Narwhal is correct that it's normal for comics.

@GeekeryDo: @Sir_Narwhal @mikeyturvey yeh but that's just one arc and it's easy to read it all since, as you said, it's been put together like that.

@NFern0: @Sir_Narwhal Sounds like (ohoho) specialist equipment. Black Friday is more mass consumer oriented isn't it?

After living so many years without Sailor Moon figures, we have finally hit the golden age. We’re not just getting a few paltry figures, we’re getting SO MANY AWESOME ONES. We’ve already had a full set of Inner Senshi action figures, Bandai has some Chibi-Arts in the works, there’s that awesome scaled Sailor Moon… so what’s missing? Trading figures, of course! And a Dollfie Dream, get on that Volks.
MegaHouse and Bandai often doubleteam a series so it’s no surprise they’re adding Sailor Moon to their Petit Chara Land lineup. We’re getting adorable chibi versions of Sailor Moon, Sailor Mercury, Sailor Mars, Sailor Jupiter, Sailor Venus, Tuxedo Mask, Luna, and Artemis! TEENY KITTIES! Hopefully these won’t be super-limited like the S.H.Figuarts…

Recently we’ve been seeing some pretty interesting and adorable ReMent collaborations like their set with Doraemon, the always amazing Capybara-san and even some good old fashioned regular food sets. But all good things must come to an end: you’d really think by this point they’d run out of Hello Kitty food items to make, but apparently that’s not the case!
This time the theme is school and food, and the set is dubbed ‘WakuWaku Shougakusei.’ Try saying that three times fast! It’s actually really cute, with a Hello Kitty backpack, a nicely done bento box, and for some reason… a keyboard. Don’t look at me, I have no idea what goes on in the heads of the people who come up with this stuff! And even though I rolled my eyes at yet another Hello Kitty set I of course ordered it right away. If you want to as well you can snag a box on AmiAmi for ¥2,390 with a September release date. Just in time for the first day of school!

IDOLM@STER 1 and 2 have pretty much been the domain of MegaHouse, but IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls has been getting an awful lot of love from Good Smile Company and co: there was the first set of Petit Nendoroids, the Wonder Festival exclusive Petits, some figmas, and of course the gorgeous figure of Rin Shibuya that hopefully will be painted soon! And that’s not including all of the goodies from Phat! Company.
Apparently one set of Petits wasn’t enough for GSC, so they are working on a second. While the first was cute this one totally blows it out of the water! This one includes Mika Jougasaki, Ranko Kanzaki, Miku Maekwa (twice, in her regular and CAT OUTFIT AHHH DYING), Uzuki Shimamaru, and Kirari Moroboshi who also gets two versions. These are so cute I am kind of hyperventilating. Orders start soon and I want them all RIGHT NOW. Also a scaled version of Miku in the cat outfit please.

So by this point I assume everyone knows about the wonder that is Cat Donuts. Recently he’s gotten a few friends and a whole lot more merchandise, including some prize figures! It seems like there’s no end in sight, and the newest addition to the lineup is a set of trading figures. That’s right, bite sized Cat Donut & Friends!
This set features Donyatsu, Kumacaron and Ronya in 3 colorways each, giving us a total of 9 figures. They’ll retail for ¥600 a pop, but you can get a case of 9. Their release date is currently set for June which seems a little early but who cares! It’s Cat Donut!

When ReMent does themed sets, it’s usually of newer characters or at least ones that have staying popularity like Hello Kitty, Rilakkuma, or Capybara-san. This month’s set is a very unexpected move: they’ve reached way back on the nostalgia road and gone for an old Japanese favorite, Doraemon! Doraemon never got as popular outside of Japan as some other characters but he’s pretty darn adorable–plus he’s a time-traveling robot cat. What’s not to love?
This set features all sorts of goodies like cake, curry, rice omelet, burgers, even a bento box! And all for only ¥2,380 at AmiAmi with a June release. I hope we see more unique sets like this from ReMent in the future.

Penguin Parade’s Pettanko line has rehashed the Madoka girls many times: in gym outfits, school uniforms, and of course in their magical girl gear. Now they’re bringing them back a fourth time, but thankfully not in a fourth set of outfits: what would that even be? School swimsuit pettankos? This time, they’re mini! That’s right, the Pettanko line is shrinking down to trading figure size.
This line of 10 figures features all 5 girls in 2 different outfits: school and magical girl. A case of 10 will retail for ¥6,800 with an August release: kind of steep, but you do get a whole lot of figures for that price! Sadly it also means no secrets… I was hoping for mini Kyuubey or ultimate Madoka.

AmiAmi has this nasty habit of combining our orders into big glumps that overlap between months. So, for example, we might not get some of our January stuff until the beginning of March (yet mysteriously it will be with not just February but March items as well). You may have noticed that we skipped a January loot post: well, that’s because we didn’t even get all our figures from it until a few days ago!
But thankfully January and February seemed to be smaller months than most, so we’re just going to combine them into a mega loot post! Check it all out after the jump.

It seems like May 2013 is going to be one of those months where we only get one ReMent release, but given how darn cute this one is I’ll let it slide! This time around we are getting Capybara-san, and while I complain about the number of character-themed ReMent I’ll be honest: this is one guy I just can’t get enough of. I mean, it’s a capybara! I love them!
This set features a lot of cooking equipment like pans, a scale and a rice steamer along with, of course, food in the shape of Mr. Capybara himself. You can snag the full set on AmiAmi for only ¥2,380. I wonder what June will bring us?

When it was announced that Romeo & Cinderella Miku was the last of the new Vocaloid Petits, I think we all breathed a collective sigh of relief. No Mikudao! Or so we thought… DUN DUN DUUUUUN
You may think that a Nendoroid and figure are enough but oh no, the terrifying Mikudayo is out for blood and is getting a Petit Nendoroid. Hopefully not part of the set, since there are already 12 figures in it and only 12 boxes to a case. Imagine… you’re opening up your case, the last one left is supposed to be Kaito, you’re so excited and then… MIKUDAYO.
We’ve also got some news about the set: if you pre-order at GSC directly you get a carrying pouch, and pre-orders at Karukawa or Family Mart will get a cool stand. But those involve proxy fees and/or no discount, so no thanks. As a closing note, this post is a prime example of why I am SO tired of Mikatan’s commentary. Do you really need to mention 3 times how “sexy” these Nendoroid Petits are? No, just stop.

As you probably already know, the newest Vocaloid Nendoroid Petit set is going to come with a large cast, including quite a few special figures that are getting slowly revealed. The first was the oceanic Miku, and most people were hoping that the next two would include Kaito and Meiko. Nope, the second is another Miku (and most likely the third will be too).
I am a huge Miku fan so this is not entirely bad news for me. This is the Micrystal☆ version, where Miku is rocking the crystal princess look. I love this unique version of her, in fact I wouldn’t mind a full Nendoroid of it… but that is true of almost any Miku outfit! I wonder what #3 will be?
