  • Ques Q doesn’t seem to put out figures that often anymore… but I guess they plan on changing that because they had a LOT at Wonder Festival. So let’s just dive right in! We’ve got lots and lots of Kantai Collection of course, and tons of Touhou Project–but most importantly, that evil Remilia LIVES! Finally, progress! There’s a cute sculpt from Working!!, and adorable Alice Cartelet, finally the Rocket Sonico, Rory Mercury, and Arnval Mk.2 who is doing something very strange to her boobs. But that’s not the shocker. There’s SO MANY ANNOUNCEMENTS. Bunny Selvaria, bunny Misae Suzuhara, Miho & Darjeeling from Girls und Panzer, Northern Princess, swimsuit Cyan, Prinz Eugen, Teruzuki, Fate/Grand Order Lancer… how are they planning on making so many?? • Ques Q is one of the smaller companies, but they take on a pretty wide variety of licenses and tend to pick up some fantstic garage kits so I am a big fan of theirs–and their Wonder Festival lineup was pretty amazing! Okay, so they only had a few figures and the focus was mainly on new announcements but THAT ELIZABETH. She was unpainted the last time we saw her but now she’s painted and I love her and please put her up for order right now. Oh, and she won’t be the last Persona figure they do–Labrys is next! Percival, who was sculpted at last WonFest is painted now, and we’ve got more Eiyuu*Senki goodness Drake is sculpted, and they’ve announced Tutankhamun (whose name is spelled wrong, good job Japan). We’ve also got the Grizzry Panda sculpts, announcements for Mikasa Ackerman (the star of this WonFest), Iona and Takao from Aoki Hagane no Arpeggio, and Haruna & Shimakaze from Kantai Collection ~Kan Colle~. That thing is EVERYWHERE. Seriously. [via Akibahobby]

  • It’s no secret that Grizzry Panda is my current favorite garage kit circle, and for a while now I’ve been wondering when he will eventually get picked up by a PVC manufacturer. It’s inevitable once a sculptor gets popular enough, unless they have something against PVC: we’ve seen it happen with Grimrock and Kiking, and I honestly feel like Grizzry is right up there with them when it comes to talent. It’s finally happened, but I’m surprised by both the figures and the manufacturer! Given by how many Mikus he’s done and his Goddess Madoka I thought for sure it would be Good Smile Company who snatched him up, but oddly enough it’s ques Q. Well maybe not that odd, since they do love producing PVC versions of kits! And I’m also surprised that Altines and Altlene are the figures getting made! We have release dates for both: Altines will come out in January, and Altlene shortly after in February. Let’s just hope they don’t break the bank… and that we see more of Grizzry’s sculpts in the PVC world! [via Sranngurenn’s Twitter]

  • I am totally in love with Grizzry Panda right now–I bet you never would have guessed, given at how closely I guard this secret. My sculptor crush only had a few figures at Treasure Festa, but as always they were built to impress and surely drew quite a crowd. The teased Akane from Vividred Operation was there, being everything the GSC version is not: mainly, totally awesome and wonderful and sigh why has no one signed Grizzry yet?! He also had his Altines, finally painted after all these months! She had a companion figure, the wow-worthy Altlene who I would like a PVC version of right now than you very much. From Alter preferably. Seriously, I’m sure at this point he’s been scoped out like Kiking and countless other sculptors before him–maybe no company has offered up enough money yet? Or perhaps Grizzry just really loves the gk scene? [via Akiba Photography]

  • There are a massive amount of figure-related events in Japan. Usually we cover the big ones that involve PVC: Wonder Festival, Comiket, MegaHobby, Tamashii Nations, et cetera. But of course the garage kit community probably puts out ten times as much as the PVC world, they are just a lot harder to get! The most recent gk event will be Treasure Festa in Ariake 9, which takes place on May 5th–yes, only a few days away! So today we’re bringing you a roundup of some of the best kits that will be at the event, complete with the circle’s name in case you are lucky enough to be at the event and have the money and speed to snag one. My favorites are the adorable Yagyu from Senran Kagura and Atelier Hiro’s graceful Miku, but there’s a whole lot more–even a Kaito and an awesome Shin Megami kit with both Jack Frost and Pyro Jack! Check them all out after the jump. [via fg-site, Moonlighter, Mr. Surprise, T’s System, Pink Panders, Glemo, ooxoo]

  • The first month of the new year means the first magazine scans of the new year! You’d think they would be a bit lackluster because companies are gearing up for their Wonder Festival reveals–but you’d be mistaken! There are many lovely ladies here as usual, including a rather stellar batch from Kotobukiya and a extra scary Cattleya, along with some nasty exclusive surprises. Check them out after the jump! [UPDATE] Updated with a few stragglers.

  • Busou Shinki is pretty damn popular… when it comes to action figures. As soon as you look at scaled figures, though, there’s nothing. Which is weird, right? Well, we finally have one! It’s not a production figure but a garage kit from my favorite maker Grizzry Panda of Altines. And holy cow is she gorgeous! Oh Grizzry, why do you make so many beautiful things. Goddess Madoka, Tell Your World Miku, now this. Sigh. Someone pick him up as a sculptor for a PVC company! Altines doesn’t have a release schedule yet, but I highly suspect that she will pop up at Winter Wonder Festival. [via Toyz80’s Twitter]
