Plastikitty Loot: January & February 2013

AmiAmi has this nasty habit of combining our orders into big glumps that overlap between months. So, for example, we might not get some of our January stuff until the beginning of March (yet mysteriously it will be with not just February but March items as well). You may have noticed that we skipped a January loot post: well, that’s because we didn’t even get all our figures from it until a few days ago!

But thankfully January and February seemed to be smaller months than most, so we’re just going to combine them into a mega loot post! Check it all out after the jump.

    Bandai’s Adorable Cure Peace Chibi-Arts

While the expansive Precure franchise doesn’t get much attention in the figure community, Bandai is to Precure like bread to butter. They pop out so many figures from it they almost make up for the fact that higher-end manufacturers generally refuse to give us pretty scales of the girls. At Tamashii Nations they showed off a whole bunch of figures of the bubbly blonde Cure Peace, and now they are finally coming up for order.

Sadly, because Bandai loves torturing fans just as much as MegaHouse, the Cure Peace Chibi-Arts will be an exclusive. Boo! With a relatively steep retail for a chibi (¥4,200) proxy fees put her strictly out of my reach. Which is a shame, because this was the first Chibi-Art I’ve been interested in since C.C (who I picked up for the ridiculous price of ¥1,200–hooray bargain bins!).

The plus side is that they usually make characters who don’t get Nendoroid versions, which is certainly the case with these two! We have C.C from Code Geass and Princess Shirahoshi from One Piece. Both are really adorable, and they each come with animal companions: C.C with the helmet-stealing cat and Shirahoshi with a… mini shark? Shirahoshi retails for ¥3,800 and will be released in August, whereas C.C’s release info is unknown.
