Featuring Cyclops, Beast, Jubilee, and Wolverine so far, these flat-colored figures bring that iconic show from the screen to real life. I really love the color choice here and lack of shading as it fits with the style of the original quite well and I really love that these are all quite whimsical as well. My personal favorite is Beast and his suave look, but all four are quite great, and at about $40 a figure, these are quite affordable too. Who do you want to see added to the line? Let us know in the comments!

The dynamic pose and flowing cape fit the character perfectly and I really love that the mohawk second head is included as an option, despite not being really comic accurate (but who cares when it looks good?). Also of note, both earrings will be there in the final figure on the mohawk head, one was broken in transit. That said, all around, this is one big, bold, and awesome statue and honestly, one of my favorites of Storm. Now to hope for more mutants to come after!

Following up on the Batman from the Batman: The Animated Series ArtFX+, we’re now getting Harley Quinn and The Joker as well! I really love how the Harley here captures her more playful side from the show as opposed to the hyper sexualized versions we’ve been getting lately due to Suicide Squad, and The Joker has his iconic purple suit and massive grin, which I will always love in any form. The pair are both quite nice looking and are, honestly, must haves for any fans of the iconic show.

I’m not gonna lie, every time I see this figure it looks like if a KPop star moonlighted as Red Hood, which, honestly is exactly what we all wanted out of this line and I really dig it. Red Hood’s abs are on full display here, as is the signature butt, which many fans were also looking for from a male version of a bishoujo line. I’m also really liking that Red Robin has three different head options, which elevates this figure that’s just “standing there” to new levels. Now to see what happens with the rest of the Robins!

Sadly, we didn’t get to see the full color version as she’s off at Wonder Festival, but what we did get to see looked quite great! That said though, I’m still not won over by her, just as Leah wasn’t before. The short hair feels a bit too static, the pose isn’t going far enough to be unique, and the rest feels like we’ve seen it all before. Nothing is bad, rather, nothing really wows about this piece. That said, if you’re a fan of the character, this is definitely a great option as there’s not a whole lot of Captain Marvel merchandise out there yet, especially depicting her as badass as she is here!

Finally, fanservice for all! We knew Red Hood was next and I’ve been eagerly anticipating him because who doesn’t want a hot psychopath in their collection?

Well, the time has finally arrived! Red Hood is here and ready to sass up your collection! He comes with not one but three faces: regular, the hood (of course), and a special first-release masked head. So fancy! He retails for ¥8,800 and will hit shelves in June in Japan, though like most of Kotobukiya’s figures he is getting an official US release. Are you guys excited for the Ikemen line? I mean, she’s a badass flying chick with short hair. Played by the always-amazing Brie Larson in the upcoming film, no less! And the art was indeed pretty cool. Shunya was sticking with his newer, slightly-less-pinup style and went for a more realistic body and less cutesy face.

The finished product is here (or at least orders for her are), and I’m a bit torn. I love the colors, pose, and face. I think the whole chest area is kind of weird: her ribs are suuuuper prominent and she’s got the “floating globes” boob dilemma going on. But look at those arm muscles, so good. While she comes in at the standard Bishoujo 1/7 scale, her retail is only ¥8,000 and she comes out in June!

Pre-order At AmiAmi | HLJ | Hobby Search | Big In Japan | BBTS
