I know we were all hoping for <a href="http://www.plastikitty.com/game-toys/nier-automata-x-dollfie-dream-actually-happening" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Nier</a> or <a href="http://www.plastikitty.com/home/volks-announces-dollfie-dream-luka" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Luka</a>, but we’re getting… more Saber! Fate/Grand Order Saber and Jeanne d’Arc, to be exact.</p> <p>I’m going to be honest: I am not happy with this decision. We have <a href="http://www.plastikitty.com/home/volks-dollfie-blog-gives-us-our-first-look-at-saber-alter-and-saber-extra" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">so very many</a> <a href="http://www.plastikitty.com/home/volks-brings-holiday-cheer-with-their-new-dollfie-dream" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Saber Dollfies</a> already, and it looks like the new one has the same head sculpt. Jeanne is pretty, but do we NEED more Fate Dollfies that are, essentially, Saber clones? I’d much prefer any of the Casters. Or, like, any other character. Ishtar? A new Rin? But nope, it’s DD Saber again. They will be pre-order dolls so no rush to enter a lottery! Hopefully this isn’t like the last set, though, where Volks wanted the whole cost upfront.     Volks Announces Fate/Grand Order Dollfie Dreams

    In a surprise move, Volks has shown off two fully finished Dollfie Dreams for their next pre-order project and both are a total surprise. I know we were all hoping for Nier or Luka, but we’re getting… more Saber! Fate/Grand Order Saber and Jeanne d’Arc, to be exact.

    I’m going to be honest: I am not happy with this decision. We have so very many Saber Dollfies already, and it looks like the new one has the same head sculpt. Jeanne is pretty, but do we NEED more Fate Dollfies that are, essentially, Saber clones? I’d much prefer any of the Casters. Or, like, any other character. Ishtar? A new Rin? But nope, it’s DD Saber again. They will be pre-order dolls so no rush to enter a lottery! Hopefully this isn’t like the last set, though, where Volks wanted the whole cost upfront.     This is an announcement I was expecting, but am still excited about. To follow up Dollfie Dreams Miku, Snow Miku, and Rin & Len, Volks will be adding Luka Megurine! AKA my favorite Vocaloid girl, I’m such a sucker for that long pink hair. Hopefully she will be a pre-order like all the others!

    They also announced two new Miku DD outfits from 7th Dragon that are just gorgeous. I’m sure they will be in the $150-200 range because the wig might be included, but honestly… totally worth it. I’ve skipped all the previous alt Miku outfits, but if pre-orders for this open at the same time as Luka they are coming home to me.

    Preview Sword Art Online Dollfie Dreams Asuna & Kirito

    Male anime-style dolls used to be a thing of dreams and only dreams, but recently they’ve become a very firm reality. First we got Len from Volks, and now it’s time for Kirito from Sword Art Online! I mean, he looks pretty damn feminine here, but that’s to be expected with dolls right? In any case, you now have multiple choices for some DD boyfriends for your ladies.

    Many years ago we got an Asuna Dollfie, and of course she’ll be getting a re-release… of sorts. Which is surprising because 1) I think we assumed they’d do Luka next and 2) Len would be their first male Dollfie Dream, which is kind of a big deal and something customers have been clamoring for for years. Unsurprisingly, their kind-of-rival comany Danny Choo is also producing male dolls. Can’t help but wonder if that helped them make this decision!
